Update - March 17, 2020

North Summit Family and Friends,

Over the past few weeks, as a leadership team, we have been monitoring the events surrounding the Coronavirus and prayerfully seeking God’s wisdom in our response to this developing situation. Recently our national and local health authorities have updated their recommended actions based on the rapid spread of COVID-19 throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Based on these recommendations, we have made the decision to pause our worship services, programs and activities at our campus beginning March 17th.  We will keep you updated on a regular basis as we listen closely to local officials and look forward to resuming our meetings together as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, here are some ways we plan on staying connected with you:

We will continue to provide updates via our website and social media.
So that we can remain connected as a family, we will be broadcasting live every Sunday, at 8:00, 9:30 & 11:00am as we come together to worship and hear from the word of God. Let’s invite our family, friends and neighbors to attend online services with us in our living rooms.
Download the North Summit Church App from the following platforms/providers and choose to receive notifications when prompted:  Amazon App Store, Google Play, Apple App Store, Roku
If you don’t have a way to stream our upcoming online streaming please reach out to us so that we can help you get connected.

Let’s turn this crisis into an opportunity to show Christ’s love for others by...

Keep your eyes open to your neighbors, the elderly and specifically those who may be at a higher risk for the virus. We should continue to be the church in practical ways to those in our communities. Remember, we ARE the church, we don’t just go to church.
Stay connected with those you are doing life with! Reach out to those you know, your small group and look for ways to help. Don’t be afraid to ask for help when needed. Leverage technology to remain connected.
Continue to be faithful in your giving as we serve our community together, we will remain to be a church that meets our community's tangible and immediate needs during this time.

If someone asks why your church chose to respond to this health crisis by suspending gatherings, here is your response:

We are loving our neighbors by protecting our neighbors.
We are not being fearful. We are being responsible.
This is what love looks like in this season.

As believers in Jesus, even in moments of confusion and fear we have hope. We always want to be wise in the decisions we make, yet at the same time, be bold in our love for one another and the communities we live in. We are grateful for our incredible community and its leaders, compassionate and wise healthcare workers, for the collaboration and unity in the churches in our region, and most of all, we are grateful for the grace of Jesus that covers us and compels us to love and serve our communities one person at a time.

Our church offices will be closed to the public for the time being, but you can still reach us by phone or email. Thank you for your patience. We will do our best to keep you informed and connected as we move forward.
